Description
Senior Quantity Surveyor
We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join this multi-disciplinary construction and engineering contractor. Operating throughout the UK they work on a range of rail, roads and utilities contracts from their regional bases. The Manchester (Trafford Park) office of this main contractor currently has a requirement for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Rail division.
The Role:
This role reports directly into the Commercial Manager/Lead Quantity Surveyor and is responsible for any assigned QS, assistant QS and administration staff. You will be charged with ensuring payments are received, producing final accounts and negotiating any contractual entitlements. You will also be producing monthly and final cost value reconciliations and ensuring all supporting documentation is in order. All subcontractor procurement, negotiation and placing of orders is also your responsibility.
Personal Specification:
-Degree qualified (will look at candidates with HND/HNC and supporting experience),
-Contractor background,
-Civil engineering experience, rail is desirable but not essential.
-IT/Computer literate,
