We are looking for experienced Quantity Surveyors from a Contracting background. Ideally you will be Chartered or close to obtaining Chartered status.



Our clients include Mansell, Bovis Lend Lease, J. Reddington, Lancsville Construction and The Duffy Group.



We are looking to employ senior surveyors who demonstrate an aptitude for taking responsibility for delivering their projects and being a key contact for our clients.We have an open culture within the team and operate a flat structure, so the successful candidate will be reporting to Directors on their project.



Track record in delivering projects from a client facing perspective and can demonstrate that they have the ability and initiative to not only work on their own but also as part of a team. Good communicator, with the social skills to motivate a diverse project team with stakeholders at all levels.



Providing astute cost management advice, robust financial reporting and an aptitude for negotiation would be desirable. The key responsibilities associated with this role are cost planning at all stages of design, interim valuations, managing change control, financial reporting and final accounts.



Liaise with Director or Line Manager, to ensure that resources allocated to projects are appropriate for the fee and workload agreed.



Help to generate fees through your professional work for client projects, and where agreed with your Director, manage fee-generating activities.



Where required contribute to invoice preparation for your work, and quarterly forecasts information.



By agreement with your Director, manage allocated clients, ensuring that client needs are identified and met, and that formal and informal client feedback is obtained.



Nurture existing and develop new clients to increase the appointments obtained by Herbert Franks and to broaden the scope of work for which we are appointed.



Participate in presentations and meetings when required, and contribute to fee bid and proposal documentation Contribute to the team's business plan and agreed targets.
