Senior QS required to work on new and refurbishment projects from a central office (2-3 projects), responsibilities will include complete budget and cost control
Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Package: £50-60k, car allowance, full range of benefits including rail/tube
Company: Regional Main Contracting business, with a good reputation for quality construction projects to £25M in the education, health and commercial sectors, operating across both public and private building in the London regions.
Role: Senior QS required to work on new and refurbishment projects from a central office (2-3 projects), responsibilities will include complete budget and cost control, financial reports, liaison with the construction team members (internal & external) on all issues that have a commercial bearing, procurement and negotiation of subcontracts, management of variations and subcontractors, valuations and payments, you will be focused upon completion of the projects within budget, whilst ensuring that company procedures are adhered to, additionally you will ensure the Final account is agreed in a non-confrontational manner. You will also have responsibility for the management of trainee and assistant Quantity Surveyors undertaking subcontractor management and remeasures on your schemes.
Requirements: The successful candidates should have formal construction qualifications and a proven track record of successfully providing QS support to projects ranging in value to £10m; you will be looking for an opportunity to work upon varied projects.
