Description
Responsible for procurement of Information Management products for Project(s) at the best possible price, delivery and quality with the purpose of contributing to company savings targets.
Senior Purchasing Officer
Responsible for procurement of Information Management products for Project(s) at the best possible price, delivery and quality with the purpose of contributing to company savings targets.
Proactive management of customer's requirements often with shorter than agreed lead-times.
Raising, maintaining and managing Request For Quotations, Purchase Orders and outstanding Order book in an effective and timely manner using SAP.
Responsibility for tracking orders and reporting difficulties/missed deadlines
Support preparation of briefs and reports for Senior Management reviews, including potential issues/risks and recommendations.
Actively support functional excellence programmes, identifying areas for improvement where new processes may be required.
Build strong relationships with Information Management and the business users in order to effectively serve their needs
Build strong relationships with suppliers in order to meet Information Management /customer requirements effectively.
Essential

Excellent writing skills - ability to write reports and RFQ's
Excellent verbal skills - ability to influence both internally and externally up to a senior level.

Proven organisational, planning and admin skills.
Common sense approach to business issues.
Desirable
Commercial training will be provided to someone with strong technical background if other skills displayed
Working knowledge of cost make-up and pricing.
Knowledge and experience of SAP (preferably Materials Management).
However training will be provided.
Ability to operate within a European cultural framework.
French/Italian language skills would be an advantage but not essential.
Understanding of Information Management environment advantageous, but coaching / support will be provided.
