Description
Senior Project Manager required to take control and management of major turnkey projects up to the value of £10m. Ensuring the project delivered on time, budget, to clients satisfaction and within the framework of good working practice as set by client.
JOB SPECIFICATION
My client is a key part of the world's largest glass industry engineering projects, management and construction firm.
Providing technical, project management and construction services for all glass manufacturing processes, from the batch plant and glass melting furnace through the forming, cold end, packaging and warehouse process, as well as complete turnkey plant projects.
Due to their continued success and full order book, they are seeking to fill the following position:
Senior Project Manager
Scope:
Control and management of major turnkey projects up to the value of £10m. Ensuring the project delivered on time, budget, to clients satisfaction and within the framework of good working practice as set by client.
Responsibility:
Responsible for controlling all aspects of project required to deliver target.
This will include specification of equipment to provide engineering solution.
Control of all design and draughting.
Procurement of materials and services as required.
Oversee of manufacture.
Control of site installation which will include worldwide travel and periods away from home.
Assistance in commissioning with site team and client representatives.
Final hand-over and approval to project completion including full project documentation and report to Directors at Board level.
Core skills required:-
-technical design element (AutoCad understanding)
-control and direction of all project staff (<10)
-proven project management skills (medium to high value)
-budget control (inc variation reporting)
-time management
-commercial awareness
-client facing experience
-2nd language preferred but not essential
Technical requirement:-
-high temperature process experience
-refractory steel combustion experience
-glass process sector preferred but not essential
Qualification level:
-degree in relevant engineering discipline preferred
