Whichever role you take, one of your biggest challenges will be to translate and adapt UK methods and standards into safe, workable solutions in overseas environments where conditions can be significantly more difficult and challenging.

This means that as well as technical experts the elite of their field were also looking for personable professionals. Credibility, commitment and qualifications will need to sit alongside excellent communication and man management skills. Because not only are you managing the projects as they happen, wherever they happen; you may be discussing them with diplomats and officials at the highest level.

Senior Project Manager
£45 - £63k
This is a key role in the team. You will run larger and more complex projects, leading a team, and delivering to a high standard. Projects may include some new build, but there will also be a proportion of fitting out and refurbishment projects. These can often be complex and with a high level of security measures included, both physical and technical.
In addition you will have line management responsibilities and deputise for the Head of the Team, on occasions. You will be expected to take part in some strategic and corporate initiatives for FCO Services as a whole and so will need to be experienced in your own particular discipline, and a proven project manager.
