An opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer Powertrain Controls & Applications to join a world leading provider of technology, product innovation, engineering solutions and strategic consulting to the worlds automotive industries.
This role offers a great opportunity to work on and own a wide variety of projects using cutting edge technology. It will give the right candidate the chance to further develop their team leadership and commercial skills, management of budgets, and supervision of engineers. There will also be exposure to preparation of commercial offers to our customers.
Primarily you will be developing engine control systems for future Diesel applications, in particular OBD systems. Your everyday tasks will include leading projects, customer interface, control algorithm development, rapid prototyping of control systems and implementation on testbed and vehicles.
The ideal candidate will be qualified to degree level in an Engineering discipline with an emphasis on Control Systems. Hands on experience of developing control algorithms is essential, preferably with Rapid Prototyping Control hardware as well as in simulation. You will have already managed and led a small team of engineers on an automotive project and have developed basic people management skills and have developed some commercial awareness through this.
