Description
We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer with Metal Industry Experience/Knowledge
PROJECT ENGINEER REQUIRED FROM A METAL WORKING INDUSTRY BACKGROUND.
Working as part of a busy production team in a general engineering company managing varied and interesting projects.
You will not be required to Draught or Estimate for work but CAD experience a big advantage as you may be required to amend or do more simple drawings.
Welding or Fabrication experience / background / knowledge is essential and also
Computer literacy will be essential.
Graduates considered from either an engineering educational background or more hands on course such as HND high grades not essential.
Candidates who are time served tradesmen and have office / admin experience preferred, due to the nature and involvement of the work.
Day to day duties include the full Project Management role, from taking the order from the
Sales Team to the Invoicing stage.
You will be required to liaise with suppliers / subcontractors / foremen / colleagues.
You will also be required to liaise and take instructions from customers in an appropriate manner.
You will need to raise purchase orders, to be forwarded to the buyer and job sheets to be distributed on the shop floor.
You will have the ability to assess the material type and quantity needed, along with the ability to calculate the time taken to undertake any jobs.
The will be the need to assist in the design of new products and to look towards ways of increasing productivity and efficiency.
