Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join the Engineering team in Staffordshire to specify, design, test and document power electronic systems for multi-megawatt drive systems.

You will take a lead role within a multi-skilled team of engineers, draughtsmen, technicians and / or test engineers, supervising the technicians and test engineers as required and will be required to specify, design or use computer simulation and calculation tools.. This role will require occasional working away from the office to support tenders, acceptance tests and contracts and you will also be involved in providing technical advice and assistance to sales and tendering teams.

As Senior Power Electronics Engineer you will be educated to a degree level or equivalent in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, ideally with relevant experience in an engineering design, manufacturing, testing or research environment.

A flexible approach to your duties and working hours is essential and you must also be prepared to travel throughout the UK and overseas. You will need strong and convincing communication skills, excellent organisation and planning skills and a proactive attitude with the ability to work on your own initiative and be an enthusiastic, confident team player. A valid driving licence is essential.
