This role of Senior/Principal Account Manager (depending on candidate) will be for new business development into a number of defined Vertical Markets for a market-leading Systems and Software modelling environment. Part of the role will be up-selling and cross-selling to existing customers, but a large focus will be to leverage early successes in new markets and customers and significantly grow year-on-year revenues into those areas.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of technical software sales experience (a knowledge of modelling and simulation software, UML / SysML would be a distinct advantage) with a strong track record of performing against annual target and have the credibility and experience to sell a solution at multiple-levels within an organisation (engineer to director/CTO level). The role will involve selling at a tactical and strategic level and because of this the candidate should be able to demonstrate success closing business in the range of £30,000 - £200,000+. Vertical market sectors are likely to include, Military / Aerospace / Defence, Transportation/Rail, Pharmaceutical & Medical.
