A leading international engineering consultancy in the airports sector in the Middle East is looking for a Senior Planning Engineer to join their Transportation group. With over 40 staff with airport related skills and airfield design capability based in the Dubai design office, they have been assisting with the rapid expansion of Abu Dhabi International Airport.

They are looking for a Senior Planning Engineer to take on:
•Reporting to the Airports Market Sector Director for the Middle East Region to lead bids and manage projects in the region requiring airport planning expertise.
•Development of an Airports planning team in the region to work on projects within and outside the region.
•Work with the company's UK based airport planners to develop skills across both teams and effectively manage and resource projects worldwide.

The responsibilities will include:
•Managing a small team and providing technical leadership in airfield airport terminal and airport facility planning.
•Communication with the Client , Airport Operator and other staff in English. Fluency in Arabic is an advantage, but is not essential.

The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate:
•Knowledge of some specialist software, such as Pathplanner, Arc port or Simmod.
•Experience working on live airports.
•Candidates should hold a relevant degree or professional qualification; however, these are not essential if experience beyond the minimum qualifies the individual for the role.
