Our client is a leading pipeline and subsea contractor and due to their success they are looking to take on an offshore senior piping engineer.

The successful piping engineer wil lhave 3-5 years experience and be Degree qualified preferably in civil or mechanical engineering. You will be getting involved in the design and/or installation of subsea pipelines and risers, with some experience of related platform interfacing. so it is necessary for you to have experience in the following:

pipeline mechanical design
pipeline stability
spanning analyses
crossings
routing
spool-piece
riser analysis.
A knowledge of trunklines and landfalls would be an advantage.
Familiar with cost estimating and scheduling would be an advantage Must be able to communicate clearly and write professional reports.

A limited understanding of the following other disciplines would also be useful: mechanical equipment / structural design / process / electrical / instrumentation / control systems / health and safety / risk analysis.

Main Duties would include:

Taking technical responsibility for the execution of work in specified areas assigned by Project Manager;
Supervising junior technical personnel within a project team; ensure that project objectives assigned by the Project Manager are met by the work carried out
Ensuring that work carried out meets the requirements of project plans and procedures required by the HSEQ Management System
Ensuring that the resources used for the work are within the constraints notified by the Project Manager
Delegating work where appropriate in a manner that encourages individual responsibilities
Taking responsibilities for the correctness and quality of work and seek advice within the Company when necessary to achieve this.
