Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Hampshire
To provide the capability to design liquid filtration assemblies for hydraulic, lube or fuel aerospace filtration appliactions.
To lead design teams as directed.
Work cooperatively with customer, regulatory authorities, suppliers, engineering, technical and sales to define realistic requirement specifications for aircraft and air filtration assemblies.
To provide experience and expertise to assess feasibility of designs at an early stage, to reduce risk in a systematic manner and ensure profitable, reliable, functional and manufacturable products.
To take ownership and design responsibility for liquid filtration assemblies and associated products either against individual design specifications or as part of a broader system.
Provide support during sales enquiry, design, development, prototype and pre-production manufacture.
Integrate lean manufacturing philosophy within the design process
Qualifications:
Degree
Fluid Dynamics experience
Excellent calculation skills
Suitable high-end 3D CAD system and FEA experience
Materials for design.
Design for Manufacture
Design For Assembly
Design for Cost
DFMEA experience
New Product Introduction
Practical knowledge.
Chartered Experience.
Experience: 10 years in a design-engineering role with individual responsibility for design.
