Senior Design Engineer (Aerospace) - Salary circa £35,000
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer required with experience in the Aerospace Industry. You will have Pro Engineer and CATIA V5 experience. You will have an in-depth understanding of electromechanical assemblies. You need a degree in Mechanical Engineering. You will define a product using 2D and 3D CAD software that meets the customer requirements, time scales and costs.
Key Responsibilities
Produce design solutions for new products and product modifications, liaising with Drawing Office, and Performance & Stress engineers.
Work concurrently with Manufacturing Engineers to ensure Design for Manufacture.
Produce detail designed 3D solid models using PRO-Engineer software.
Approval of detail manufacturing drawings.
Carry out supporting calculations relating to designs.
Assist Operations in all aspects to support the manufactured or purchased product for both new and legacy products.
Attend Design Assessments/Reviews and, if required MRB, CCB etc.
Supervise subordinate staff.
