This international consultancy provide specialist design and construction safety services to a range of client and developers throughout the Republic of Ireland. Services include Project Supervisor (Design Process), design and construction safety management services in addition to providing safety advice and assistance to a wide range of corporate client companies.
They now seek a Senior Health and Safety Consultant to be based in their Dublin office to enhance the quality and range of services offered to our client companies.
The Suitable Consultant will have:
• A professional qualification in Health & Safety is essential
• A secondary qualification in an engineering-related field
• A minimum of years experience in design / construction safety at Senior/ Consultant or Management level
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important
• You will be a team player and be able to produce high quality work
• You will have thorough experience in safety management systems and procedures.
Typical Duties will include:
• Meet design team on an individual basis i.e. architect, engineer, mechanical & electrical consultant
• Issue note of meeting identifying issues reviewed
• Carry out project risk assessment
• Attend design team meetings. Review health & safety issues - construction & maintenance risks. Identify information
• Address health & safety issues arising out of design changes, amendments that occur during construction
• Prepare outline health & safety plan; copy review with design team; update as required
• Meet, review issues with PSCS/main contractor
• Review of specification for works, drawings, (if available), other info in order to (a) identify main works e.g. building to be constructed and (b) outline of main health & safety issues

It is important that you can demonstrate your client interface ability and back this up with experience whereby you have offered consultancy experience.
