Requirement for a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join the hardware development team in the delivery of innovative next generation telecommunications equipment. The hardware development team is part of a cross-functional engineering department that designs telecommunications equipment that include high speed Network Processors, FPGAs, XDSL, Wired and Wireless Telecommunication and network interfaces.This role represents a great opportunity for a candidate to work in an innovative and expanding engineering team.
The Hardware Design Engineer will be responsible for
Research hardware design solutions
Hardware design of Voice and Data system architectures incorporating the latest generations of processing and network devices and designing circuit implementations in FPGA's
Reviews of Customer Requirements and Specification
Generation of Product and Hardware requirement specifications
General design reviews and problem resolution
Prototype verification
Working with Operations in the introduction of new product designs into manufacturing
Efficient day to day technical guidance and management of assigned resources.
Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent. Experience with network processors, SRAM, Flash, DATA and Telecommunication communication interfaces such as GBit Ethernet, XDSL, ISDN, Wireless, Telecom and data network interfaces. Experience in high-speed digital design. Experience with FPGA's, DSP processing would be an advantage
Position based in Dublin.
