Senior Geotechnical Engineer Warrington/Wakefield

The company offers services in all areas of construction building, highways, rail, water, power, telecommunications and environmental.

The company offers services in all areas of construction building, highways, rail, water, power, telecommunications and environmental.

Role
The successful Candidate will work on projects including rail, highways, infrastructure and development. You will work with clients including developers, major contractors, the Highways agency, major infrastructure suppliers and Network Rail. You will have the willingness to work across the north and further a field. Good promotional prospects are available for the right candidate.

Requirements
•Degree in Engineering Geology, Civil Engineering, or similar
•MSc/MEng in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, soil mechanics, foundation engineering etc. preferable
•Preferable 5 years experience
•Approaching Chartered status preferable
•CSCS card and PTS an advantage
•Strong technical background
•Good Interpretative reporting and geotechnical design skills e.g. shallow foundations, piles, retaining walls
•Understanding of UK regulations
•Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel and Geoenvironmental risk assessment software
•Clean UK driving licence
•Knowledge of contaminated land would be an advantage
•Strong Communication skills
•Ability to work under pressure
•Team Player
•Highly motivated and committed

Responsibilities
•Design and manage ground investigations, preparation of desk studies and interpretive reporting
•Foundation design and slope stability assessments.
•Liaising with clients both externally and internally
•Training and supporting young team members
•Project management
