My client, an International Multi-disciplinary Engineering Consultancy, has an immediate requirement for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist with at least 8 years experience in ground engineering to support their London practice. My client, an International Multi-disciplinary Engineering Consultancy, has an immediate requirement for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist with at least 8 years experience in ground engineering to support their London practice. The position offers an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic and self-motivated team-players who want to develop their careers.
They are currently working on major projects in the UK and overseas including foundations for tall buildings, deep basements, slope stability and earthworks and water retaining structures.
Requirements:
• Relevant industry experience with a BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering or Geology and preferably a MSc/MEng in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or similar subjects
• Chartered Engineer (ICE) or Geologist
• Strong foundation, basement, earthworks and ground treatment design skills
• Strong analytical and evaluation skills
• The ability to plan and deliver projects whilst working in a team or under minimal supervision is essential
• Confident, proactive character, ability to take the lead in challenging situations.
• Imagination and creativity
• Good communication skills, experience in dealing with other employees and external clients.
• Good IT Skills
• Experience of working on a one to one basis and in team working situations
• A background in Brownfield land projects and knowledge of contaminated land investigation and assessment would be of value
