This job is based in Malaysia - Kuala Lumpur.

As a Senior Estimator working within the clients multi disciplined pre-contract team in South East Asia, you will be preparing competitive and comprehensive tenders and pricing to assist in securing profitable work consistent with Company business plans, policies and objectives. The estimating function is centralized and covers all countries within the South East Asia region of the company.

The person:

*Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Building or Quantity Surveying from a recognized university.
*15 years post graduate experience with leading Civil Engineering or Building Contractors.
*Able to demonstrate a proven record of successfully tendering multi million dollar projects.
*An ability to influence and motivate colleagues to achieve targets.
*A sound ability in the use of IT, with experience in the use of Estimating software.
*Ability to work within a multi-disciplined team.
*Motivated and committed to success.
*Good time management skills.
*Willingness to travel within the South East Asia region.

Role/Responsibilities:

*Reports to the Regional Technical Services Manager.
*Prepare priced tender submissions and proposals in collaboration with the Business Development and Bid Managers of the various countries within the region.
*Take responsibility for the completeness and competitiveness of the pricing tenders in which he/she is involved.
*Ensure that the requirements of the companys Management Systems relevant to estimating are adhered to.
*Interact with the bid leader and other support departments to ensure that information necessary to complete a comprehensive pricing exercise is provided in a timely manner.
*Assist in the identification and recording of risks and opportunities and ensure that appropriate provisions are made in the tender pricing.
*Prepare pricing information for the tender review and lead the presentation of the price to the General Manager/Managing Director.
*Ensure that pricing information included in the tender submission is accurate and provided in a timely manner.
*Represent the company in meetings with Clients and Joint Venture partners in the development of opportunities.
