Objective
To ensure that all current and future AML vehicles comply with all relevant legislation in all designated territories.
To obtain component, system and whole vehicle approvals to meet program requirements
Responsibilities
Assist in the interpretation and implementation of regulatory requirements into product design, development and test activities.
Assist in the preparation of Certification and Homologation Documentation and the maintenance of Legislation and Certification databases.
Liaison and negotiation with certification authorities, Government officials, dealers/market representatives and industry bodies.
Liaison and negotiation with internal and external test facilities.
Liaison with engineers in AML and at suppliers to obtain technical data required for homologation.
Arrange and coordinate certification test/inspection activities including the preparation of test vehicles and materials.
Assist in homologation planning and the preparation of information in support of Programme gateway events.
Ensure that all legislative labelling requirements are met including the specification and release of labels and their manufacturing process instructions.
Work with Quality Department to maintain Conformity of Production procedures.
Ensure effective and efficient recording and storage of homologation information and assist in the maintenance of L&C archives.
Support AML After Sales activities with vehicle homologation information.
Qualifications/Experience
Degree level qualified or equivalent
Education in Engineering, experience in Motor Vehicle studies and/or hands on experience, plus knowledge/experience in Legislation and Certification requirements/procedures and Market
