Senior Engineer - Olympic Park

Salary and Location
£28,000 - £32,000 + car or allowance + benefits. Based on Olympic Park in East London.

Role Description
The Civil Senior Engineer will be working on heavy civils projects in preparation for the 2012 Olympic Games. The projects will include:
- Road over road bridges
-Road over rail bridges
-Footbridges
-Access roads
-Associated earthworks
-Retaining walls

The Civil Senior Engineer will be proficient in setting out in at least one of the above disciplines and will be responsible for a team of engineers and sub contractors. A major part of the role is to develop, mentor and train the less experienced engineers in setting out methods and other site skills. Reporting to an Agent, the Senior Engineer will also be responsible for reading and interpreting drawings in order to monitor the junior engineers' work.

Required Experience
HNC or HND in Civil Engineering is preferable but not essential. Experience in bridges and structures is very favourable but any sector from a heavy civil engineering background would be considered.
