Description
Excellent opportunity to work with an industry leader boasting continuity of work in the area through a mixed portfolio of Civil Engineering schemes.
Section Engineer
Values between £2m and £85m. Training scheme that is amongst the best in the industry.
4 opportunities exist for a Section Engineer. One involves a £6m project involving the construction of a link road, junctions and associated civil engineering works and would include a subordinate team of Site Engineers. The 2nd Section Site Engineer opportunity involves a £2m project involving the construction of a bridge over a river. The 3rd is on a large £85m Civil Engineering scheme with RC structures. The 4th is a Coastal/Flood defence scheme valued at £6m. The successful candidate will be working as part of a region with strong forward order books. Ideally you will have varied civil engineering exp with a UK Contractor.
Responsibilities:-
-Ensure the wks are built according to contract drawings, specis and project plan.
-Manage site dimensional control ensuring that contractors are coordinated to set out the works.
-Produce & review methods statements/risk assessments
-Plan and programme section of works and review as required
-Assist in the management of costs & budgets
-H&S and Environmental issues.
-Monitoring progress, reporting and setting goals
-Anticipating and resolving problems as and when required
-Resolving eng queries with design consultants
-Manage construction records and as-builts
-Demonstrate strong civil engineering construction experience
-High motivation/team player
