Opportunities exist for dynamic professionals to shape, develop and deliver a cost reduction capability to support the affordable procurement of high value specification equipment for military aircraft. The roles require self-motivated individuals capable of applying Design to Cost, Should Cost and Design for Manufacture type tools and techniques in a complex manufacturing environment

Successful applicants will be responsible for leading cost reduction and affordability improvement activities with a range of multi national suppliers

SENIOR ENGINEER

The roles will involve the following:

-Utilisation of Design to Cost, Should Cost, DSSM and Manufacturing Engineering techniques, to identify opportunities for cost reduction / avoidance in equipment or commodities supplied.

-The resolution of equipment quality issues that affect BAE Systems Military Air Solutions ability to build and trade aircraft.

-Providing support to manufacturing in the identification / resolution of internal issues which affect equipment or the ability to build aircraft.

-The building of relationships and to actively work with suppliers in developing and supporting integrated supply chain engineering improvements.

-Working closely with Purchasing and Engineering teams within the projects to remove costs associated with the poor performance of supplied equipment or commodities without compromising quality or schedule adherence.
