Our Client is seeking a Senior Embedded Electronics Engineer to work as part of their R&D Group. Based in a most dynamic, challenging and exciting Autosport environment, the role will require real-time embedded software design and development skills. The applicant should have a strong background and experience in embedded software development using C/C++.
Our Client is seeking a Senior Embedded Electronics Engineer to work as part of their R&D Group. Based in a most dynamic, challenging and exciting Autosport environment, the role will require real-time embedded software design and development skills. The applicant should have a strong background and experience in embedded software development using C/C++. An understanding of (microprocessor based) electronics is an advantage, and experience in system simulation, code generation and developing to operating systems would be a bonus in this role.
Good communication skills as well as having the ability to prioritise, multi task and plan effectively are essential. This position offers exciting benefits, and attractive salary.
Knowledge and Skills Required
1.Full understanding of embedded and real-time systems software design and development.
2.Electronics (with computer science) degree preferable.
3.Experience with design and development of systems from concept through to testing and deployment.
4.Experienced in C/C++ to microprocessor and operating systems platforms.
5.Experience in a number of the following would be advantageous
RTOS (e.g. QNX)
Matlab / Simulink
Networking / serial protocols (e.g. Ethernet, CAN, RS232, ASI)
Design methodologies (e.g. UML)
VHDL
Digital Signal Processing
Project / task management including, writing comprehensive documentation.
6.Working knowledge for Hardware electronics would also be an advantage
7.Flexibility - essential
