Reporting to the Lead Electrical Engineer / Design Manager.
To undertake the design of electronic / electrical architecture for military and commercial vehicle applications.
To build electronic / electrical core engineering competencies.
Provide best practice in the implementation of cost effective engineering.
Develop / build and test electrical / electronic circuits for vehicle systems
Be a core member of the design development team.

Be a core member of the design development team.
Areas of Responsibility:
Concept design of electronics / electrical and electromechanical engineering systems.
Diagnose faults on electrical and electronic systems.
Generate Qualification and test programs, test specifications and test reports.
Prepare components specifications and maintain electrical / electronic BOMs.
Responsible for safety relating to electronic and electrical design.
Generate safety documentation relating to electronic and electrical designs.
Provide innovative solutions to design challenges and reducing deign and production costs.
Knowledge:
Working knowledge of CAD and circuit design tools.
Good understanding of EMC requirements.
Proven electronic design experience, preferably in military environment
Knowledge of electronic design tools.
Desirable:
Understanding of RF and data communication requirements .
Design skills in data communication or RF design.
Knowledge of IEE 16th Edition
Skills:
Proficient in 2D document generation for electronic schematics.
Conversant with electronic design.
Computer literate with MS office tools.
Experience:
Extensive/Specialist/technical knowledge & understanding in similar design related environment.
Qualifications:
Degree in Electronic Engineering Discipline or lower qualification supplemented with additional experience.
Successful candidates will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
