We are a multi-disciplinary firm of Professional Engineers, with a world class reputation within the Building Services sector.
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Design/Project Engineer with first class design experience within the Building Services industry. The candidate will have the ability to take projects from conception though to completion and will be qualified with an electrical discipline. The candidate will provide engineering capability to the Building Services Section of our London City Centre office.
The Senior Electrical Design/Project Engineer will create, develop and finalise electrical engineering services advice and designs. The candidate will join the Building Services section to provide engineering support on single and multi-disciplinary projects including new build and refurbishment projects for the public and private sectors.
Qualifications required:-
MCIBSE/MIEE
Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services, preferred.
HNC or degree qualified with IEng/CEng or IEng/CEng potential.
A good level of computer literacy in Windows, Amtech or Hevacomp or IES and Microsoft Office software is required.
Role:-
The successful candidate will work within multi-discipline design teams as the Senior Electrical Design/Project Engineer on projects or with an electrical Associate Director on major projects. As the role develops he/she will be responsible for the project management of complex projects for Clients in the Industrial, Educational, Leisure, Healthcare, Residential and Public Sectors. This will include Client liaison, design, interface with project teams and contract implementation.
Experience required:-
The candidate will have experience across the breadth of electrical Building Services such as 400V/230V power supply and distribution systems, generators, UPS, earthing, primary and emergency lighting, fire alarms, security access control, lightning protection, lifts, containment systems, etc. Experience in the use of IES software based design packages and HV Engineering would be advantageous. Computer literacy is essential.

The ability to operate as part of a project team, within appropriate authority levels and to represent the company with confidence to a variety of Clients and outside organisations. The candidate will be well motivated, innovative and career minded.

Carrying out design calculations
Preparing technical specifications
Preparing drawings for drafting by others
Representing the group at meetings
Site surveys and inspections
Maintaining records and archives to company standards
Manage own workload
