SENIOR DRIVE CONTROL ENGINEER
POWER CONVERSION SYSTEMS
STAFFORDSHIRE
We are seeking a Senior Drive Control Engineer to join the Engineering team in Staffordshire to work as part of a multi-skilled team on modeling and simulation of drive and power system, developing embedded controllers and control software for use in drive systems.
As part of this role you will be required to specify, design and simulate control schemes for variable speed drives and power system, to undertake Matlab Modelling, to specify, design, test and document embedded firmware, to work with other business units to develop common drive control platform and to be responsible for estimating and planning work to ensure budgets and timescales are met.
As Senior Drive Control Engineer you will be educated to degree level or equivalent in electrical and electronic Engineering or control Engineering. Relevant experience in an engineering design, or research environment is ideally required with experience of Matlab simulation or equivalent and C programming language.
A flexible approach to your duties and working hours is essential and you must also be prepared to travel throughout the UK and overseas and therefore a valid driving licence is essential. You will need strong and convincing communication skills with excellent organisation and planning skills. You should have a proactive attitude, work on your own initiative and work well as part of a team.
