Senior Development/Research Engineer

Engine Technologies Europe is part of the companys Technology Division, which has responsibility for developing technology to support future product needs. Many exciting technologies are being developed to support future engine products including ultra low exhaust emission technologies, high efficiency powertrains etc.
The Role:
Will focus on development of engine system technology for future exhaust emission standards
Will be responsible for delivery of aspects of the 1100 series Tier4b sets in support of the Tier4b technology down select. This will include planning engine development progress, running engine tests, data analysis, supporting 1D performance simulation, identifying opportunities for further engine optimisation and presenting findings to the wider business
Will work closely with colleagues in the Business Units to ensure smooth integration of technologies into the companys programs. You will evaluate new concepts, communicate results to customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units. Development activities will be managed using 6 Sigma tools and processes
Requirements:
A minimum of a bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent technical degree (MS or Ph.D. preferred)
Significant engine/powertrain experimental R&D experience
Experience of planning engine test programs, engine test cell experience, engine test data analysis including running engine performance simulation software as well as diesel engine aftertreatment experience are highly desirable
Strong engineering expertise with diesel engine technology. Experience would include some of the following; engine technology, fuel system, exhaust after-treatment, fuels including bio-diesel and engine test experience
Must be self-motivated and have strong technical problem solving, communication and project management skills
