You should have extensive design experience within the construction industry on PFI D&B schemes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To co-ordinate the design team activities to ensure that the Bradford schools project design is completed on budget in line with the cost plan, and on time in line with the agreed construction programme
2. To monitor and track progress of the design, to manage any slippages and to be the interface with the Schools management team
3. To promote value engineering throughout the design process
4. To work with the procurement team to ensure compliance with financial parameters
5. To be responsible for ensuring the design complies with health, safety and quality requirements
6. To liaise with client representatives on the design development as required
7. To liaise with the Technical office in Spain to ensure adherence to design processes and principles
8. To assist the Project Manager on the management of the design team, giving advice on appropriate resourcing levels, effective performance management, employee development and motivation
9. To promote company values in all dealing with other employees, clients, subcontractors and other external contacts.
