An opportunity has arisen for an experienced, motivated and professional Senior Design Engineer to join our Water Capital Delivery team who will lead a design team identifying and resolving major trunk mains leaks.
The role involves the following:
Your technical experience and team leader skills in trunk mains design will lead to the production of efficient and safe designs resolving critical leaks in high-risk locations, such as trunk mains crossings under railways. To achieve this goal you will work closely with operational specialists and other technical stakeholders to deliver technically challenging designs to time and budget.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a Chartered Engineer, ideally with previous experience in clean water design, and will be able to provide technical knowledge and expertise in trunk main leak repairs.
Prior experience in identifying leaks, leading a small team and a proven ability to manage technical stakeholders are essential and all applicants must be able to travel across the Thames Water region.
