Senior Design Engineer
£35,000 - £40,000

Our client is a leading global supplier in mobile electronics, transportation components and systems technology. They are currently seeking a senior design engineer on a permanent basis to help lead a team and deliver design projects and drawings on time.
You will hold responsibilities to liaise with customers and manufacturing to make sure projects are completed and delivered on time. You will plan work activities effectively, and support project planning along with running a small team of engineers to help design for manufacture (DFM). This is a demanding position but also a very rewarding one that will see further opportunities open up for a candidate looking to progress in their career.
The senior design engineer my client is seeking will preferably have between 5 and 10 years experience in design of mechanical systems, preferably high precision, highly stressed, and mass produced components. Having Lead a small team (eg 2 to 4 designers) designing highly technical mechanical systems eg managing day to day issues and longer term planning would be ideal as this plays are large part in your position. You will lead group exercises such as DFMEA and brainstorming solutions along with appraising, coaching, training and recruiting junior designers for your team.
This is a highly skilled position which will need a Senior Design Engineer having previously performed in a similar position to this before. It is also an excellent opportunity for someone who is in this position currently to look at joining a company which will progress and develop your career even further than this.
