Our client is looking for an electronics design engineer to join their highly successful team designing luxury mobile phones.
General Purpose:
The successful candidate will be working within a design team, creating designs of accessories for a range of luxury mobile handsets that can be manufactured to a very high quality level. This will involve close working with other departments and with the vendors.
Main Responsibility Area:
Responsible for specifying, planning, reporting, designing and supplier support in his/her project area. Has developed specialist knowledge in one area. Works in a product creation project with responsibility of specifying multiple components of a product or several products. Coaches other team members in solving engineering problems. Solves complex engineering problems of own technology area. Typically participates in reviews of own or neighbouring projects. May undertake technical training responsibilities.
Scope:
Individual Contributor - Variety of complex tasks within area of responsibility, Demonstrates initiative & contributes to problem solving. Acts with independence and discretion in routine matters. Makes decisions that affect own work. May act as Team Leader or Project Leader with some direct supervisory responsibilities in addition to own work assignments.
Impact:
Impact is short-term and departmental/project in scope. Accountable for quality, accuracy and efficiency. Actions and errors can have functional area impact.
Key Tasks:
Has responsibility of own sub-area outcome. Defines the necessary tasks to meet objectives, set by the program manager, applying the product process as well as the existing design instructions. Awareness of how own work can be improved.
Individual Portfolio:
Typically 4-6 years relevant experience. Uses functionally specific knowledge
