Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Design Draughtsperson to join the Electrical Machines Engineering Department, based in Rugby. The overall purpose of the role will be to produce drawings and bills of material on a wide range of individual projects for customised or specially engineered rotating electrical machines.

You will be involved in the production of drawings and bills of materials on a wide range of individual projects for customised or specially engineered large rotating electrical machines, being responsible for ensuring that drawing office instructions for individual allocated projects are produced in an accurate and timely manner and liaising with both manufacturing and suppliers, as required, to ensure the optimal specification of component parts.

As Senior Design Draughtsperson, you should be qualified to at least ONC level or equivalent, with previous experience in the use of rotating machinery equipment such as gearboxes, couplings, lubrication systems, machinery enclosures and baseplates. In addition, knowledge of using Medusa and/or Pro-Engineer CAD and Triton MRP systems would be a distinct advantage. You will be a team player, with strong communication skills. You will need to have a flexible, team-working approach and be capable of liaosing effectively with both manufacturers and suppliers.
