Description
This an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a demonstrable and significant experience in a similar role on Greenfield and Brownfield projects, to join an expanding business, with offices in several areas of the UK and the near continent. Remuneration can be either on a staff or contract basis.
A proven background of delivery and a good knowledge of oil and gas related SHEQ working practices and procedures, Peer Reviews, HAZID's / ENVID's, HAZOPs,
COSHH and SIL assessment processes is required.
Applicants must be familiar with the specification of all types of field instrumentation, including control, actuated and relief valves. The successful individual will be fully conversant with current control technology and be able to develop, specify and project manage, process control systems including PLC and DCS based systems. Knowledge of Safety systems (ESD), fire & gas experience and familiarity with the requirements of ATEX and PED is also required.
Specific responsibility for;
•Executing engineering activities specific to the control systems technical area such as: P&ID development, operating logic/C&E diagrams, control and protection narratives.
•Developing control philosophies as part of either FEED or conceptual studies.
•Providing instrument review for design and analysis to enable the safe and efficient implementation within project targets, and assist in the preparation of project / operational work plans.
•Developing instrumentation schedules, data sheets and technical reports in support of process, mechanical and electrical design disciplines.
•Ensuring that all activities are executed in compliance with all current and future offshore legislation, agreements, regulatory and company standards affecting maintenance and engineering activities, and are consistent with best engineering practice.
•Undertaking SIL assessments and making recommendations to ensure systems incorporate the necessary levels of redundancy and safety.
