Our client a leading aerospace and defence organisation are currently looking for a Senior Commercial Manager to provided specialist commercial/ contr
ctual support and advice at a strategic and a tactical level, and at any stage of the opportunity/ project cycle, covering market trends, behaviours, likely future requirements and the comparative commercial value or impact of contracting options.
The Senior Commercial Manager - Estates will also be the primary lead on new business contracts with primarily MoD and Defence Estates key accounts, and provide remedial management to bring contracts/ projects back into line. Duties: Works closely with other company functions (IP, Legal, Insurance, Risk, Contracts, Bid) and commercial teams to manage these aspects of the project. Provides comprehensive support and advice on contractual matters relevant to all Estates areas. Communicates EMEA Commercial and other policy, guidance and awareness, ensuring best practice Works to structure negotiate and close deals in accordance with company approvals. Works to achieve an advantageous risk/ reward balance for company Manage the post contract process, ensuring continued customer satisfaction.
Candidates should have the following experience
A proven track record of structuring, negotiating and closing construction deals over 5m Track record of operating effectively at a senior level.
Very competent user of MS Office products and is able to use spreadsheets to show and read financial information.
Used to working with financial information and is aware of financial impacts on bids/ contracts/ projects.
Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation and with external customers both orally and in writing.
Is able to appropriately challenge and take robust positions with a broad range of behavioural skills.
Able to influence senior colleagues to optimise the quality of the Divisional order book.
Proactive and responsive to customer /team needs
Must be able to achieve full UK SC
