An exciting, senior civil design engineer role for Trinity House - the UK's Lighthouse Authority and world's leading provider of aids to navigation.
With a package of circa £40K (plus annual bonus and generous benefits) we are seeking a highly motivated Civil Design engineer to deliver capital projects for our historic estate of 69 lighthouses..
The work will entail civil design and modernisation capital works and refurbishment, running cost projects, as well project management on all sixty-nine lighthouses most of which are listed buildings, depots or marine structures. You will manage multiple projects with varying values and also support the Principal Civil Engineer.
The role is highly varied and interesting and you will be required to initiate tenders and specification documents, produce working drawings in conjunction with project technicians and undertake general surveying of the estate when required. In addition, you will liaise and manage consultants in specialized areas such as structural and geotechnical disciplines also negotiate with outside bodies such as building control and environmental agencies.
You should be of graduate calibre in a professional civil/surveying orientated and any interest in recognized professional bodies or historic structures would be preferable, but not essential. You might also be a surveyor or structural engineer looking for a more varied and interesting role.
