SENIOR CALIBRATION ENGINEERS

Senior Calibration Engineers are now required to lead a team of Engineers in the application of modern common rail SI or Diesel systems and the calibration of engine control systems at this leading car manufacturer in Norfolk.
In this role you will perform and co-ordinate technical aspects of Powertrain projects including vehicle and dyno based calibration, constructing test plans and the development of engine performance and emissions. You will be responsible for the project management and co-ordination of appropriate Powertrain proposals and projects. You will also provide technical support of Sales and Marketing, including preparation of Powertrain input into proposals.
You will prepare Powertrain technical documentation including reports and presentation material and represent Powertrain at the highest level both internally and externally (e.g. clients, conferences, shows). Furthermore you will train / assist in career development of department engineers and junior engineers, as well as support the Senior Technical Specialist where required in department management.
Successful candidates will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline. Powertrain calibration experience is essential. You will have proven experience of taking a lead role in turning an application into production to comply with Euro 4/5 and/or LEV2. You will have experience of common rail injections, emissions and fuel economy optimisation, chassis dynometer testing, European and Federal Test procedures; test bed based emission testing European SET; federal transient testing procedures; aftertreatment systems; diagnostics EOBD and OBD2.
