An opportunity has arisen for a Senior CAD Technician to become part of a worldwide team of over 6000 professionals who wholly own and manage the business.
Our client are currently seeking a Senior CAD Technician to join their CAD Team in Edinburgh.
The successful candidate will apply technical expertise to the production of detailed design drawings to a high standard and will provide a good understanding of project needs.
You will apply CAD specific New Project Start-up Procedures (as listed in 'CAD in EMEAI' Knowledge Community)and will ensure adherence to CAD Standards and Procedures by all CAD staff on all projects.
You will ensure the correct level and accuracy of technical content by all CAD staff on all projects and will apply CAD Drawing Quality Check Procedures.
You will monitor progress of CAD work with project engineering staff and prioritise work accordingly and will work with Project Managers and assist the Business Unit Supervisor in ensuring that the correct resources are available to deliver CAD content on projects within time and budget.
You will provide support, motivation and training of local area CAD staff and will assist with all CAD staff interviews (permanent and agency).
You will Assist with Co-ordination/Production and Maintenance of User Guides, Standards and Procedures and will raise the profile of CAD capability within local area.
You will assist with the development of local area Technical Champions and assist in the development of a Staff Skills Matrix within the local area, Co-ordinating as appropriate with with region CAD Team and Technical Leads.
You will document all technical and software support resolutions and will co-ordinate with iNet on appropriate tasks.
You will join relevant software internet forums, subscribing to available newsletters and will provide recommendations for software version upgrade to CAD Technical Leads, assisting with application/version evaluation and testing as necessary.
You will Co-ordinate all above items with region CAD Knowledge Leader. .
