An automotive OEM requires Senior CAD Designer Engineer
Position Description:
The role is a member of the Chassis CAD Pool. The key responsibilities are; Package & scheme development. Model & detail creation / modification. Working with Engineers to develop design solutions from creation through to release. Data transfer to & from suppliers & subsequent communications.
Skills Required:
Demonstratable advanced skills in CATIA V5 and/or V4, experience of PIM releasing via lifecycle. Varied Chassis design experience suspension, frames, steering & brakes etc.
Skills Preferred:
Catia V5 with Team Centre Engineering. Experience of Jaguar / Land Rover CAD/PIM processes. Ability to use Digital Buck. Additional training will be provided for the right candidates. Microsoft PowerPoint skills. Must have a positive attitude and flexible enough to adapt to changing work requirements and priorities. Must be assertive in removing all obstacles blocking the process. Must be able to work in teams in a matrix management structure. Ability to learn client computer systems and processes.
Experience Required:
Relevant CAD experience on Chassis systems
Experience Preferred:
Chassis experience preferred, but not essential
Education Preferred:
Degree / HND not essential
