Senior Bluetooth Embedded Software Engineer
Working on wireless projects, you will design and write embedded Bluetooth software for electronic systems.
Strong teamwork is an important aspect within the Company and in most cases you will work with software or hardware engineers as part of a multidisciplinary project team. You may also participate in meetings with clients and prospects from time-to-time and have the opportunity for small amounts of travel.
The company defines embedded software as software that functions at the electronics/software boundary and/or in a constrained environment (e.g. tight memory, low power).
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Specifying and designing digital ASIC or FPGA functions.
Digital design at a board-level. You will also be responsible for guiding and reviewing PCB layout.
Programming FPGAs to emulate the ASIC designs for lab testing before chip sign-off.
Working at all times as part of a close-knit multi-disciplinary project team focussed on delivering the design solution to client.
Contributing to proposals and quotations.
Creating novel design solutions that will be of particular interest to clients.
Identifying and pursuing new techniques and circuit solutions for digital IC design to maintain leading edge capability.
Minimum requirements
With an appropriate background in embedded software, you will have a good degree in a relevant subject, such as electronic engineering or computer science.
Experience in embedded software in C.
Experience in communications software.
Two years of Bluetooth programming experience at the stack or profile level.
Understanding of both hardware and software.
Understanding of wireless communications systems.
Understanding of build systems and source control.
Experience of the following would be advantageous
Windows programming
One or more scripting languages
Successful candidates will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment.
