An automotive OEM requires a Senior Battery Technician
Responsibilities will include the day to day organisation and management of the battery pack assembly operation, provision of technical support, and management of stock and inventory.
Typical duties will include:
Organise daily work load, planning around race and test requirements
Manage stock and inventory
Maintain workshop to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.

Organise daily work load, planning around race and test requirements
Manage stock and inventory
Maintain workshop to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.
Assemble high voltage battery systems and modules following assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and safety guidelines.
Perform testing on battery modules and high voltage battery systems, to include standard validation and post race/test condition diagnosis.
Perform testing on battery management systems to verify functional performance, Troubleshoot and repair high voltage battery systems as needed.
Candidates will:
Have good communication, people and organisational skills.
Have the ability to plan and manage while working under timescale pressures.
Be a team player with a hands on' approach to problem solving
Have a fundamental knowledge of electrical system behavior and fault diagnosis
Have a methodical, thorough and tidy approach to work
Have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly documentation
Have the ability to think out of the box' to identify problems and propose solutions
PC skills to include MS Word, MS Excel and operation of PC based test equipment.
Flexible approach to working hours linked to meeting test or race deadlines
