Exciting permanent opportunities are available for a Senior Avionics Technicians in Newcastle, North England, for this large defence company.
We are recruiting forces or ex-forces personnel for vacancies in search and rescue (SAR) helicopter engineering and maintenance in the UK and the Falkland Islands. Applicants will be considered from any of the armed services or from working in the offshore or other related industries. Applicants will need to have reached Corporal/Leading Hand level or higher. Civilians with NVQ level 3 and apprenticeship with relevant experience will be considered.
We are specifically looking for senior technicians with avionics experience. The ideal candidates will have experience of working with rotary wing aircraft, other helicopter types may also be considered. Candidates will need Sea King experience although Lynx, Merlin, Apache will be considered.
Salary is £24,594 per annum which includes shift allowance. However, any hours worked on standby will be paid as overtime. You will be working 4 days, 4 days off, 4 nights and 4 days standby. You must be within a hour commutable distance to meet standby requirements
