With a market leading position and identity, world class product development facilities and a rich heritage of customer service and support to some of the most challenging and quality critical of manufacturing industries, our client is an innovative manufacturer of precision engineered, high integrity, products and technically advanced solutions. Having grown substantially in the past few years they have now reached a stage were they wish to appoint an experienced Sales and Business Development Manager to both develop their existing markets and to broaden the sphere of their activities.
This key managerial and strategic role, reporting to the Managing Director, will see the successful candidate taking significant responsibility for the identification of new markets, potential joint ventures, acquisition opportunities, and the development of the overall marketing plan. You will orchestrate the delivery of an effective, prioritised, new business development programme, taking account of all key decision makers and influencers within the current client sector and the newly identified development areas. As well as your own direct sales efforts, you will plan, organise, motivate and continually develop the activities of the 10 strong UK based sales force, in achieving both strategic market penetration, and the turnover/profitability objectives that you have agreed.
Ideally Degree qualified in an engineering or business discipline with a demonstrable track record of sales and business development success within an international context, you will have a highly developed commercial awareness and proven ability to develop new business strategies and organise sales resource to achieve objectives. Whist essentially a UK based role, to be successful, candidates should be flexible with regards to business travel overseas.
