Our client, the industry leader in fibre-optics is looking to recruit a Sales support and Market Development Engineer for its optical fibre division. Initially based in their office in Lakeside Flintshire in the UK, with the potential to be based outside the UK in Europe after completing initial training and attaining the necessary competence levels. From the outset there will be a significant travel requirement throughout EMEA.

Responsibilities
•Investigating and resolving any technical problems or concerns reported by customers when processing or deploying optical fibre. This may require visiting customer premises.
•Technical marketing support, to include conference/exhibitions, writing technical articles and product value proposition case studies.
•Providing a technical information service to customers. This includes writing general product literature
•Making customer presentations to support optical fiber products and product initiatives.
•Representing the voice of the customer for projects to develop new products and implement product changes.
Requirements
•Degree in Physical Sciences, Mathematics or Engineering.
•Additional or specific training in Optoelectronics, Optical Communications or Photonics and/or experience in a technical or technical/commercial interface position since degree would be an advantage
•A high level of, mostly international, travel will be required, predominantly in Europe, some Middle East, Africa and USA
•Fluent in either German, Spanish, French, Italian or Arabic
