An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Sales Support Engineer for a world leading provider of ship power solutions and power distribution systems. Products and services are provided to the Marine, Merchant and Offshore industries.
The right candidate will be able to provide correct, up to date and accurate office back up support for Account Managers in order to ensure sales process growth and margin. You will also have an engineering background and understanding of ships systems as there is a need to produce quotations for engine overhauls.
Based from their Fareham office you will be responsible for helping to drive the sales support department. This is a role with real scope for career development, within a well established world leading company
Responsibilities:
-To work for the Account Managers and liaise with all other departments and product companies.
-To be central contact for Account Managers day to day actions and ensure visit actions are completed efficiently.
-To act as the point of Technical expertise for external customers & support of the internal processes.
-To undertake and/or oversee the completion of technical complex inquiries & service requests.
-Prepare Special projects such as offers for damages / investigations & major overhauls.
-Prepare New Product offers with assistance from categories (Propulsion, Engine, Automation Services).
-Create standard service parts package for standard jobs to add value and to align the offering with the sales process.
Requirements:
-HND Engineering or equivalent.
-Engineering background with understanding of ships systems.
Salary:- Up to 35k dependant on experience.
