A large, well-know organisation within the Aerospace industry are currently looking for a Sales Manager to work within their Global Aftermarket business.

This is a newly created, senior level role which will involve developing and implementing a strategic sales plan to achieve order and sales targets for the global aftermarket business. Your key objective will be to develop competitive solutions for existing customers in order to secure business through gaining long-term agreements which encompass all different elements of this company's offering, including parts and service. This will be achieved through the use of creative, value-added solutions, in order to sustain continual relationships with key organisations, predominantly major international airlines. You will also be involved in growing aftermarket business through looking at innovative ways to increase service offerings, or develop new platforms.

This role is very much focused on growing the business and building relationships with customers. These customers will be internationally based, so travel will be involved to Europe, the US and potentially other areas of the world (approximately 40% of your time).

The successful candidate will already have previous sales / business development experience within the aftermarket industry, with a proven track record in securing long-term customer agreements through the offering of a complete package / solution. Previous experience within the aerospace industry would be preferred, but non-essential if you have come from another similar background, such as automotive or engineering. This role will suit a lateral thinker who has a proven track record in building excellent customer relationships and innovative problem solving. The basic starting salary will be c. 43-48K, plus car / allowance, bonus of up to 10% of salary, flexible benefits scheme, pension, relocation allowance (where applicable).
