JOB TITLE : Sales Engineer
LOCATION : Worksop area
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
• To evaluate enquiries and propose to the customer the optimum technical solution utilising the full product offering. To provide a detailed technical and commercial bid in compliance with the Company's commercial and margin policies.
MAIN DUTIES
1. Evaluate enquiries and determine the optimum technical solution utilising sizing programmes, engineering principles and E-Sales.
2. Our aim is to turn around all enquiries within 24 hours.
3. Size the selected equipment ensuring parameters are fulfilled whilst the costs are minimised.
4. Evaluate the technical aspects of the enquiry ensuring we comply and list exceptions where compliance is not possible in line with Company policies.
5. Evaluate the commercial aspects of the enquiry ensuring we comply and list exceptions where compliance is not possible in line with Company policies.
6. Produce an accurate cost estimate including a break down of all items.
7. Obtain / negotiate prices from potential sub suppliers in liaison with the purchasing team.
8. Review new designs with engineering department.
9. Produce accurate detailed technical proposals within the required timescales to the customer.
10. Attend sales meetings.
11. Work closely with outside sales engineers on selected projects and attend customer meetings if applicable at the customer's site, both within the UK and overseas.
12. Review all orders received match our quotation.
13. When required, support the manufacturing function of the business.
14. Maintaining high standards of discipline and productivity.
15. To perform all duties commensurate with the position as requested by the Internal Sales Manager in the best interests of the Company.
16. Work within ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Standards / Procedures.
17. Observe Health and Safety at Work Act Regulations.
Target salary is from £25-26,000 although more may be available for an outstanding candidate.
