Job Description
Our Safety and Integrity Management practice based in Loughborough and Upstream North Sea business based in Aberdeen both have vacancies for Safety Engineers.
Our Consultancy teams in Loughborough and Aberdeen provide a wide range of safety engineering and risk management services to the oil and gas industry, using a comprehensive range of modelling tools and techniques. Our business is based on providing clients with added value, whether it be a better Safety Case, risk assessment that is able to show the safety benefit of a particular measure, or use experimental or field data to improve safety on an installation. The work is highly varied and would suit an individual who wants to work on a wide variety of projects for North sea, or other clients
Job Requirements
Responsibilities:
-Work on safety related projects to deliver solutions to customers, preparing technical work and reports within timeframe, costs and quality standards agreed
-Participate in HAZID/HAZOP studies
-Participate in assuring legislative compliance on behalf of clients (safety case and supporting regulations, DCR, PFEER, pipelines safety regulations
-Carry out HS&E, compliance and safety management system audits
-Participate in risk management activities
-To assist in technical bid documentation preparation where required
Skills and Qualifications:
-Degree in Engineering or relevant Scientific Discipline
-Experience of working in the oil and gas industry would be an advantage
-Excellent communication skills including the ability to write clear and concise reports
-Ability to work to tight deadlines
-Have a working knowledge of risk assessment techniques, such as HAZID, HAZOP, QRA, fault tree etc
-Excellent team working skills and time management skills
-Flexibility to travel within the UK and overseas for various periods of time
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this position is negotiable dependent on skills and experience
