Prestigious Automotive OEM based in Surrey requires two Supplier Quality Engineers for work on a new super car project.

THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

1. Responsibility for the quality of purchased parts for a specific area of the vehicle.
2. Ensure components achieve / exceed the required quality level from the supply base
3. Conduct process audits and develop supplier processes at supplier locations.
4. Support production preparation to ensure smooth production ramp-up
5. Manage and control approval of production parts and processes (PPAP) for components.
6. Implement and manage part and process improvement activities.

Experience

1. Quality or production experience in Automotive or Automotive Tier 1 supplier. (E)
2. Experience of building close working relationships internally and with suppliers. (E)
3. Experience of using logical problem solving techniques in a production environment. (E)

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

1. Good communication skills to deal with people of all levels. (E)
2. Understanding of lean techniques to support problem solving. (D)
3. Willingness to travel. (E)
4. Highly motivated, flexible, team player. (E)
5. A fast learner. (D)
6. IT literate (competent user of MS products e.g. Excel) (D)

Qualifications and Training

1. Engineering Degree or equivalent. (E)
