JOB PURPOSE OVERALL SUMMARY
To oversee SMT production equipment and processes within the companies Manufacturing Facility, including introduction of New Products. This role will involve all aspects of machine maintenance, along with equipment programming and elements of process control. The primary objective of the role is to ensure that equipment/process up time is maintained, by attending to problems in a timely, effective and efficient manner and to ensure continued production in line with utilisation and operational schedules.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Position Reports to: Industrial Engineering Manager and responsibilities include:
•Preparation and introduction of new products, including problem solving.
•Monitoring equipment performance, including collection and collation of key data directly from the equipment and from other sources to analyze and initiate process improvements. Support continuous improvement initiatives via the application of sound engineering practices.
•Generate and update Local Work Instructions for new equipment or to manage changes in processes, including training of operators as required.
•Maintenance and repair of equipment, inline with operational needs and requirements,
•Equipment calibration checks will also form part of the maintenance strategy, included in this will be the regular validation of Oven operating profiles.
•Modify existing maintenance schedules and generate new as required.
•Upkeep of computerised maintenance records and the requisitioning of spare and consumable parts.
•Install, relocate and decommission equipment as necessary.

•Proven experience in both Mechanical and Electrical aspects of equipment maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS
HNC or equivalent experience
